To succeed in Mary Kay Cosmetics you need to make sure you have traffic directed to your website. Now if you are only using your Mary Kay Cosmetics generic website and you never do any kind of online personal branding then you are shooting yourself in the foot. No one will drive traffic to your Mary Kay Company generic. Apart from your few existing customers, no one else will know about it.
A generic or company replicated site does not make you stand out either. Like I mentioned on an earlier post, thousands of other Mary Kay consultants and directors have the same similar site.
Now let me point out to you the ONE thing that Mary Kay as a company CANNOT DO, and that is they cannot stop you from advertising for you or promoting you. You can advertise and promote yourself a.k.a. your own personal brand which eventually lead to you gaining more customers and team members.
However, they will stop you or have a problem if you start selling Mary Kay products and promoting the opportunity on a website outside of your company replicated website. So you have to be very careful how you do this so you are not breaking your independependent contractor’s terms of agreement.
The first thing you want to do is make sure you have your own site that is promoting and branding you not your Mary Kay. Of course you will keep your company’s given generic website so your customers are able to buy the products online or join your team but the site you are going to drive traffic to is your own personal site.
Now there are different things you can do to drive traffic to your personal site and this does not mean you have to spend lots of money.
As long as you know what you are doing you can Learn how to drive traffic to your site for free in so many ways. You want to make sure your website is optimized for search engines. Search engine traffic is usually free but you must ensure that your website contains articles with relevant keywords.
You decide what keywords to use depending on the audience you are trying to reach. Please remember not to pitch your Mary Kay Products Or Opportunity on that site just offer people value and let them know more about you as a beauty consultant expert or as a leader.
You can even offer your audience beauty tips and skin care ideas without promoting your Mary Kay Products directly. You will realize you will start to build some followers and as they contact you, then you can direct them to your Mary Kay Company Generic Site to learn more about Mary Kay Products and Opportunity or you can just outline the Mary Kay Products & Career Opportunity Benefits to them one on one via phone, email, skype or whatever means of communication your prospects prefer.
