Take A Reality Check
I am going to make an attempt to address a topic that I hear all the time and you probably are going through the same thing.
If not, you probably know someone who is. Now, if you are and independent Mary Kay Consultant, or are in any kind of network marketing business, your business is supposed to generate profit.
I have seen so many frustrated Mary Kay Consultants and directors who have been in business for years and they honestly are running their business on empty.
These beauty consultants and directors believe in Mary Kay Cosmetics business opportunity, the products, the company’s compensation plan and what Mary Kay stands for. But they just cannot stop spinning their wheels when it comes to building a strong team or even building a solid customer base.
These Mary Kay Consultants do everything they have been told to do. They have attended every Monday night meeting, every Mary Kay Career Conference and every Mary Kay Seminar but clearly something is just not adding up.
Now, if you are in Mary Kay Cosmetics business to make money, but you are spending more than you are making every month, then something is drastically wrong.
You need to step on the brakes. If your Mary Kay business is not generating any income, it is no longer a business in fact it has become a liability or a very expensive hobby that you have ventured into ( I already said that in another post). The two things you have to become very good at is attracting people to your business and you can learn exactly how to do that.
You must be EXCELLENT at building your team and training your team how to build solid rock customer base. Must be great at duplicating your team building skills in your entire organization. Building a big and strong organization is your lifeline in this this business called Mary Kay Cosmetics. This is what will create your residual income and a secure future financially.
You must ask yourself why you are self sabotaging by spending more money month after month than you are making. Are you using the right marketing strategy or are you leaving your business up to your family and friends?
Are you spending more money as a Mary Kay Consultant than you are making because you are trying to please someone else? Are you trying to “earn” a contest or are you just allowing others to manipulate you and you are falling right for it?
The one thing I can assure you is that you can make a lot of money and help others along the way in Mary Kay Cosmetics ONLY if you know what you are doing and are running your business like a business not a hobby or a “Friendship Club”.
Clearly you want to hang out with people who make an impact in your life and who can teach you how to build a successful business not those who only mind their own agendas. A good mentor will teach you how to build your business and will NEVER allow you to self sabotage financially.
It is your responsibility as a business owner to build your own successful Mary Kay business and to constantly educate yourself about things you need to do to grow your business in the 21st century.
You cannot use marketing principles that worked 50 or 20 years ago and expect to win in the world we live in today. You must learn different marketing strategies that allow people to find you as a business owner instead of always being out there hunting down people who may not be interested in a Mary Kay business opportunity or any business for that matter.
